Fringe, Women Artists of Oklahoma is a collective of professional women artists actively working in our state to bring awareness to female artists. We are an alliance of contemporary artists providing various fine art mediums and provocative concepts to our communities. As a group, we work together to nurture and empower one another, gain visibility and create opportunities, all while evolving individually as artists.
“Fringe evolved from the concept of strength in numbers and formed an alliance to give professional female artists a way to network, brainstorm, boost visibility and provide peer support. Christie Hackler founded Fringe as a means of support. Women are pulled in so many different directions, from their careers to motherhood, that Hackler believed they could keep each other focused on art amid these events.”
“We’re so excited,” said Christie Owen, Co-Founder & Co-Director. “We have gotten so much support and everyone has really embraced this concept.”
